Free AI visibility scan for your business

Let's scan your business. Usually under a minute. During heavy AI-provider demand, allow up to 5 minutes. No credit card required.

What this is

A free check on whether AI recommends you

When someone asks an AI assistant for a business like yours, one name comes back first. Increasingly that answer is the whole shortlist: there is no second page of results to scroll, and no ad slot to buy your way into. This scan measures where you stand in that answer today, for free, and tells you the first thing to change.

It is the same measurement the paid product runs, narrowed to one question and one category so it can finish while you wait. Nothing here is a demo of a scan: the assistants are asked live, about your real business, and the answer you get back is the answer they gave.

How it works

Three steps, and you type in one of them

  1. 1. Tell us who you are

Your business name, website, city and industry. Enter the domain and the form can read your public website and fill the rest in for you to review, so most people type two fields and correct a third.

  2. 2. We ask the assistants

We put a buying-intent question to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity and record what each one answers. Your business name is never in the question, so being named has to be earned rather than prompted.

  3. 3. You get a grade and a next step

The result is a visibility grade (Very Low, Low, Medium, High) and the single change worth making first. A detailed email follows with what we found on your website.

What you get

Included in the free scan

  • 1 free scan
  • 4 live checks (1 prompt x 4 providers)
  • AI visibility grade + dashboard
  • Website audit findings in your results email
  • A detailed results email after each free scan

The grade on screen is the short answer. The email that follows carries what we found on your own website, which is the part you can act on the same afternoon: the signals answer engines lean on, and which ones you are missing.

What the free scan deliberately does not include is the exact 0-100 score, the trend behind it, competitor tracking and the full action plan. Those are on the paid plans, which repeat the measurement automatically so you can see it move.

Your website

What we look at while the assistants answer

Being recommended is not only about what the models already know. It is also about what they can read when they go and look. So the scan checks the signals an answer engine leans on when it verifies a business, and the results email names the ones you are missing:

  • HTTPS enabled
  • Title tag (well-sized)
  • Meta description
  • Single H1 heading
  • LocalBusiness/Organization schema
  • Name/address/phone match the page
  • robots.txt present
  • sitemap.xml present
  • llms.txt present
  • Mobile viewport meta

None of it requires a developer for the first pass. A missing llms.txt file, a page with no single clear heading or a business name that does not match the one on your listing are the kind of thing that takes an afternoon and changes what a machine can say about you with confidence.

Why it varies

Four assistants, four answers, one reason to measure

Ask the same question twice and you may get two different lists. That is not a flaw in the question: each assistant draws on different sources, weights them differently, and some search the live web while others answer from what they already hold. One of them naming you is encouraging. Three of them naming you, repeatedly, is a position.

This is exactly why a single manual check is hard to act on, and why the free scan asks all four at once. It is also why the paid plans keep asking: a name that appears in one answer and vanishes from the next is telling you something different from a name that is simply absent.

Who it is for

Businesses a customer has to choose between

Local and multi-location businesses whose customers ask for a recommendation before they ask for a website: dentists, law firms, restaurants, med spas, roofers, plumbers, HVAC companies, realtors and the agencies that look after them. If a stranger would ask a friend which one to use, they are now asking an assistant instead, and that answer is measurable.

If you want the method before you hand over any details, read how the measurement works, the plain-language explanation of AI visibility, or the full guide. The terms are defined in the glossary.

Questions

Before you fill anything in

Is the scan really free?
Yes. One free scan per email address, no credit card, and nothing starts a subscription. You give us your business details, we run the scan, and you see the result.
What do you ask the AI assistants?
A question a real customer would ask when they are looking for a business like yours, phrased the way people actually phrase it. Your business name is deliberately left out of the question. If an assistant names you anyway, that is a recommendation you earned; if we asked for you by name, the answer would tell you nothing.
Which AI assistants do you check?
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Those four are where the buying questions are being asked today, and each one is asked the same question so the answers are comparable.
How long does it take?
Usually under a minute. When the AI providers are under heavy demand it can take up to five minutes, and the page keeps you posted while it runs rather than leaving you on a blank screen.
What do I actually get at the end?
A visibility grade for your business (Very Low, Low, Medium, High), the one recommendation worth acting on first, and a detailed results email that adds what we found on your website. The exact 0-100 Recometric Score, the history behind it and the full action plan are the paid product.
Do I have to change anything on my website first?
No. Nothing to install, no tag to add, no access to grant. We read what is already public: your website, and your Google Business Profile when we can resolve it. If we cannot resolve the profile, the result says so instead of guessing.
How is this different from checking ChatGPT myself?
You can ask once and read one answer. The difference is method: the same buying-intent question, worded the same way, put to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, with your business name deliberately left out, so what you read is what a customer would get rather than what you prompted. Competitor tracking and the record over time are the paid product.
What happens to the details I enter?
They create your account and your business profile so the scan has something to measure, and they stay yours: you can edit them or delete the account from your settings. Our Privacy Policy sets out the whole picture.
